Q. How do you read people? As an actor you probably master the art of reading people to work a scene, can talk about how normal folks can do that so that we can adjust will people better?

A few years ago, Meryl Streep was thinking of quitting acting because of the dearth of roles for older women. As a man, have you noticed the same problem of fewer roles for men?
Dan Rockwell said:
great to be here listening in on this btw, thanks for taking the time to talk plainly alan

Now, I'm REALLY insulted.
Alec, you should ask him to recount the story of when he became ill while climbing. It's a good story.

Thanks, Alec. Stealing my thunder.
(its pretty bad when you say something about 'great writing' and then you use horrible grammar doing it...)
Great writing is always makes a show interesting, no matter what era its in

Very interesting discussion...thanks.
Jan Richards said:
Definitely. Beautiful, true, deeply sourced, natural humor a wonderful thing.
My kids love MASH too! We drove from Ottawa to Boston and back last year and watched MASH episodes in the car all the way!
and how hard it is to do it subtley
Jan Richards said:
Love the comment about humor, and making people laugh, as being an art. That ability is a gift, truly.
amazingly human. Einstein's romances are such an interesting side of him as well.
